“Why would a man want to watch another man f*ck his wife or girlfriend?” a friend recently asked me.

Apparently, I’ve become the guru of sexual proclivities in addition to dispensing dating advice.

I have published lexicons of current dating terms, so why not a “dirty” dictionary?

• Cuckolding (which refers to the question) is, according to Cosmopolitan, “a form of consensual non-monogamy, where one partner watches their lover having sex with another person.” Although the "viewing party” can be present, they can also look at pix or videos after the fact.

• Compersion is the opposite of jealousy, meaning that someone feels joy when watching someone else experience it.

Other cuckolding-related terminology includes:

• Bull: The guy who is “doing the deed”

• Hotwife: The recipient of the act

• Cuckquean: The female equivalent of a cuckold

Would I be joyous watching “my” dude getting joyous with someone else? Hell, no!

But people who are into cuckolding may do it either because they enjoy humiliation or they are super-selfless. Some men just get a thrill from knowing their “hotwife” is that hot.

No judgment…just the facts, cuck! (That IS a word BTW.)

Another form of non-monogamy is Swinging. People who engage in it refer to it as “the lifestyle.”

The “sexual wellness industry” continues to grow (like certain body parts) and is expected to reach close to $20B by 2030. This likely does not include revenue generated by swingers’ vacations and clubs.

So, what IS the answer to the leading question?

I can probably summarize it with the line from the 1960s song “Different Strokes for Different Folks.”

People 50+ grew up in an environment where talk about sex was just starting to become commonplace.

Many of them are finding themselves newly single and are experimenting with different sexual styles and practices.

And, because of technology and columns like this one, they can read up on this stuff without shame.
