I’m all about nakedness and body positivity.
But did I REALLY need to see a bunch of 60+ men rip off their tee shirts and suits and give Joan a lap dance?
I get it. It’s good for ratings, and it was all in good fun.
The “strip club” industry is close to an $8B business and both men and women frequent these establishments just to watch mostly naked people dance on stage and on laps. In fact, I spoke at this conference a few years ago and met so many people in the industry who are serious business people and investors.
I was pretty impressed that the original Chippendales are still performing, BTW. It's good to know that at least this profession doesn’t age out its superstars!
But if I were looking for a life partner, I’m not sure their willingness to tear their clothes off on stage and put their junk in my face indicates grit, character, or even performing skills.
If the tables were turned and 60+ women sported thongs and tassels on their boobs while trying to impress a man, many feminists would be up in arms (or hoo-hahs).
I’d rather see a man bear his heart than his bulge.
