My April Fools prank was a huge success!
It produced record-setting views and engagement (and a gasp of horror from some of my clients, colleagues, close friends, and family before they reached the end).
Because the F in NANCYAF.com also stands for FACTUAL, here are some stats:
The platform gets about 500M visits monthly, and 79% of the traffic is male.
Earning $36M a year, Iggy Azalea is the most “successful” creator.
Although porn remains the most popular topic on OnlyFans (70-80%), legit content creators (musicians, fitness trainers, etc.) are also using the platform to sell their wares.
After the prank, I took a poll (with the help of my awesome social media sidekick Tanner) and discovered that 100% of my online community thinks that I should start an OnlyFans account.
I’m seriously thinking about it.
After all, I don’t have to get naked or do naughty things on camera.
I could, like other entertainers on the platform, use it to share my many professional skills and products/services. (NO…not THOSE services!)
As we know, many online communities start as one thing and then morph into something else. Facebook was originally a college community. Twitter (now X) was a closed-loop communication system just for geeks, and Pinterest is where crafters and home cooks shared their projects and recipes.
So, stay tuned as I continue on this weird and wild journey to build my personal brand, encourage people 50+ to become and remain bad-asses, and inspire people of ALL ages to learn more about sex, life, and tech. (OnlyFans touches on all three!)
